Pembina Update on wildfire evacuations in Fort McMurray, Alberta
We are responding to the wildfires around Fort McMurray. We would like to assure everyone that our Fort McMurray staff and contractors are all safe and accounted for, and have been evacuated.
Employees and contractors are strongly encouraged to follow the instructions of local authorities and to remember to keep safety first.
At this time, Pembina’s facilities are operational and functioning. Pembina will continue to assess the safe operations of our facilities and will shut-down as necessary.
To assist the evacuees of the Fort McMurray wildfire, Pembina has donated $10,000 to the Red Cross. Pembina will also match employee contributions to the Red Cross through its employee PATH Program.
Our thoughts are with those affected by these evacuations and we encourage everyone to follow the directions of the emergency management officials and above all, stay safe.
