Michael (Mike) A. Hantzsch, Vice President, Oil Sands & Heavy Oil
Mike brings over 35 years of experience to Pembina’s leadership team. Prior to joining Pembina, Mike was Provident Energy’s Vice President of Business Development and led the $750 million acquisition of EnCana’s NGL business, the largest acquisition in the company’s history. Most recently, he was responsible for the purchase of Dow’s Hydrocarbon Storage and Distribution Facility in Corunna, Ontario. Previously, Mike spent several years in Business Development functions with Williams Energy, identifying and implementing acquisition and investment opportunities, and playing a key role in the purchase of TransCanada Midstream’s NGL business. Earlier in his career, Mike worked with MAPCO Canada, Novagas Clearinghouse and Shell Canada.
Mike graduated from the University of Toronto in 1978 with a B.A.Sc. (Honours) degree in Chemical Engineering. He has been a member of APEGGA since 1980.
