Greenlight Electricity Centre

Greenlight Electricity Centre

Greenlight is a 932 megawatt gas-fired combined cycle power generation facility designed to provide dedicated, behind-the-meter power to data centre customers in Alberta.

A partnership between Pembina Pipeline Corporation, Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners and Kineticor, the facility will leverage modern, high-efficiency industrial combined cycle turbines fuelled by natural gas and will capture waste heat to generate additional electricity via a steam turbine

In addition to supporting data centre industry power needs, Greenlight Electricity Centre will create incremental new demand for natural gas, supporting higher production of natural gas and associated natural gas liquids from Western Canada.
